Verified forecasts reported

Corpus and forecast totals are findings reported by BG123 Codex, not an independent audit here.

01 — The actual history

Before the castles,
there was a retail trader.

The recovered story starts on Reddit in 2016–2017: trading commentary, community moderation, XRP contests and clues. By late 2017, poems and countdowns were giving way to cryptic presentation. The April 1, 2018 I.C. castle established the bear, king, knight, puppet and flags that would recur for years.

Two Twitter accounts and Reddit carried different pieces of the work. Readers followed binary strings, QR codes, hexadecimal text and repeated visual symbols. Three Loadstar letters gave the author a longer voice. The famous 589 image helped turn a puzzle community into a price-prophecy mythology—but decoding and prediction are different kinds of evidence.

03 — Separate the questions

A real cipher is not proof
of a true prophecy.

The readable craft

The full reference reports Base64, hex and decimal ASCII, capitalization anagrams, nibble-swap/reversal and mirror-text. Listen, CAROUSEL and PERSEVERANCE are among its decoded outputs. Its homepage names a different cipher set; this archive notes that discrepancy.

The prediction record

The source reports no verified forward-looking predictions under its scoring rules. The $589+ EOY2018 artwork did not deliver that year-end price. Later meanings, dates and news connections must be evaluated against what was actually stated beforehand.

05 — Why the story endured

Pattern-finding is human.
So is wanting to believe.

01

Pattern completion

Ambiguous pictures invite faces, numbers and connections; a match alone is not enough.

02

The verification halo

A genuine encoding lends credibility to nearby claims that still need their own evidence.

03

Projection

An open symbol can reflect a reader’s hopes more readily than the author’s intention.

04

Shared belief

Communities can reward agreement and make revision socially costly.

05

Narrative over data

A compelling bear-and-castle story can outlast a disappointing prediction record.

06 — An open ledger

Evidence can change.
The standard should not.

Keep the original artifact, its date and the interpretation recorded before the result. Separate extraction from meaning and meaning from a fulfilled prediction. Better source files and reproducible challenges can improve the record; uncertainty should stay visible.
